SlammedUK’s Gravity show has quickly become the standard-bearer for the UK modified car calendar, and this year’s edition only strengthened that claim. With halls packed from end to end, it was a masterclass in curation: JDM legends, motorsport-inspired builds, supercars, and even the unexpected — like a fully executed Honda Civic lowrider.

The Japanese presence was impossible to ignore. Skylines and S-chassis cars, each built to an incredibly high level, drew constant crowds. Their execution speaks volumes about where the UK scene is right now: confident, globally connected, and unafraid to chase perfection.

But Gravity is more than a showcase of sheet metal and stance. It’s also where the community comes together. Catching up with Chris and Bob of Tarmac Sportz — specialists in all things JDM and especially the Z platform — was a reminder of how much knowledge and passion fuels these builds.

Well-attended, diverse, and relentlessly high-quality, Gravity stands as the UK’s premier show. For anyone who cares about car culture, it’s the one to beat.
